House of Chimeras, Orion Scribner, and the Sol System are writing a book about alterhumans, and you can be part of it! For this part of the book project, we want to hear from otherkin in particular. In the Otherkin Community Survey, we're gathering data about otherkin experiences and understandings of themselves and their community. If you participate, the survey asks about your kintypes, how you personally define the word otherkin, and about your experiences. It's about ten minutes long. This survey is open to anyone who is physically at least 18 and who identifies with the label "otherkin" or other synonyms with that word. One response per physical body, please. Take the survey here!

This survey will close March 31st, 2024. The data collected from this survey will be used for research purposes. Any identifying information that participants submit will be made anonymous or removed entirely. If you're interested in this project, please join our mailing list to get notifications of updates, additional surveys, and other events!

Ughhh I can't wait till I'm 18 this April then I can answer, I'm so excited though!! Id love to buy it when it comes out. Is there anything in particular that inspired you to make it?

The three of us created a last-minute panel for Othercon 2022 last year called "So You Want To Write A Book On Otherkin." We only had 6ish hours to throw something together, but it generally came out well. From that experience, the three of us discovered we had good drift compatibility in working together and we ended up deciding to just go for it. Actually, try to write a book about otherkin. (Well, we concluded fairly early on it would be better to write a book about alterhumanity as a whole, not just otherkin, but that decision came during our planning phase.) Previously, we had been talking amongst ourselves how frustrating it was that no accessible published information on alterhumans by alterhumans currently existed since Lupa’s Field Guide to Otherkin was pulled from print a decade ago. Everything just naturally slid into place.

Well thank you all for taking that initiative:) it's really amazing , just making the alterhuman community even more accessible will help so many people not only help people find themselves but help others instrested know more, so really thank all of you for that.
