Nonhuman National Park’s Stance on Bestiality and “Zoosexuals"
Individuals who have been known to engage in bestiality are not welcome on our platform. We cannot condone such actions and refuse to encourage the involvement of those who do. Additionally, discussion of and promotion of illegal activities is prohibited within Nonhuman National Park forum guidelines, including the promotion of bestiality. Our forum is open to anyone 13 and up, and in the interest of protecting the minors within our community, this is a rule strictly enforced.
While Nonhuman National Park takes no strict standpoint against individuals with specific paraphilias or paraphilias as a whole, the discussion of such is similarly disallowed within minor-accessible spheres of the forum.
As a staff team, we are strongly against the concept of “zoosexuality” and of advocacy for “zoosexual rights.” Zoophilia (defined broadly as sexual or romantic fixation on non-human animals) and autozoophilia (defined broadly as sexual or romantic entanglements involving picturing or viewing oneself as a non-human animal) are paraphilias. They are not comparable to sexual orientations nor romantic orientations, nor is having such paraphilias in any way a justification for someone’s illegal or harmful actions towards other living beings and individuals. Individuals who have zoophilic or autozoophilic paraphilias are in no way oppressed or lacking in legal rights for having such.
We as a staff team are also additionally aware that there are individuals both within and outside of non/alterhuman communities who try to push a public narrative that bestiality and zoophilic attractions are intrinsic to therianthropy, otherkinity, and other forms of non/alterhumanity and identity. Such assertions will not be accepted within the realms of this forum both due to their outlandishness and confliction with our “Extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence” forum policy, as well as because of the more long-term risks such assertions can potentially have on both real-life forum members and members of the non/alterhuman communities. Trying to conflate and associate a lived identity with illegal actions such as bestiality only puts individuals who have that identity within dangerous situations, and encourages individuals who do not experience the identity to lash out in radical and harmful ways. It is not only due to our morals that we vocalize and clarify our standpoint, but also for the safety of members of the forum and larger associated communities.
If you know of any individuals within the forum who have been proven to engage in bestiality with real non-human animals, or who are currently publicly advocating for “zoosexual rights,” please contact a staff member with relevant information and concerns.
If you or someone you know is currently wrestling with consistent, uncontrollable urges to physically harm animals and are concerned that will act on such, we encourage you to reach out to local mental health help groups within your area and check your available options for therapy and counseling.
