Just had a few suggestions I wanted to make, though the site is great overall, there are just some improvements I'd like to see & that could be helpful to others: 1.) Dark theme option in the future--no rush, but it would be nice to have the option sometime for people like me who have more light sensitive eyes & it can be strenuous to our eyes when reading on bright backgrounds
2.) A sticky post in the Tent Pitching forum with various 'kin/therian/alterhuman related community links divided by basic type (community, personal, etc.) which would help people find and go to a variety of other community places & help this site be a sort of 'hub'.
3.) Is there a way to make the default text on here larger? I have to zoom in on every page when using my phone or tablet (because I use it on desktop mode since the mobile mode leaves off important info about posts/subforums when I'm browsing) & the text is just so small .
4.) Subforums of the "Into the Woods" forum, just maybe some basic type categories (otherkin, therian, otherhearted, fictionkin, or whichever ones you all think would be best) & keep the main area of it for other related topics or ones that don't fit well under just one category; this so it won't over time become 'cluttered' and allow people to more easily find threads they are interested in.
Definitely game for suggestions 1-3; it may take some time to set everything up, but those are some great suggestions, and I've honestly been thinking about the dark mode/text issues because of my own sight issues.
For suggestion 4 though, we strictly made sure not to divide Into The Woods into subforums, as we do not want to divide the forums based on binaries of experiences that may, more realistically, be closer to spectrums of experiences. If users wish to use labels on their thread titles to denote specific communities their thread is aimed towards that is one thing, but we don't want to compartmentalize our forum and force our users to pick one label or another to post underneath, especially given one or multiple may fit their personal experiences. I understand the organizational concerns, but this is something I'm very firm on; we'll be looking into potential tagging methods or similar should it become a large problem.
Text (as I'm sure y'all have already noticed) has been enlarged for easier visibility; Dark+ Theme has been added, and should be mobile friendly! Preferred website theme can be changed within the User Profile when editing profile, underneath the Settings tab. I will have to manually switch over the Dark Theme emojis to the Mutant Standard emojis that NNP uses, so that may take a little longer. The sticky post for Tent Pitching is still a WIP.

•I would hope a tagging system would be implemented at the very least, or maybe keep an open mind to having both specific and vague sub forums, (like miscellaneous ones so no one is forced on any labels). As a dyslexic person it can become confusing to constantly go through a single, tight packed list of threads, (especially when more people begin to post). It would be a lot more accessible to find a sub forum pertaining to a particular subject I am looking for, rather than having to strain and constantly reread something to find something I want to reply in. I understand why not having someone force a label on themselves is important, though accessibility is important also :>

Ooogh i think the dark theme could use fixing up tbh? It’s workable but it does have some buttons in different places from the main theme and slightly different formatting going on- or at least on my lpad. Idk about desktop. I did see there is a blue version of the main theme.

A tagging system will definitely be hunted for. Though until then, in terms of looking for specifics (while I know it's not an ideal suggestion, it's at least potentially helpful), we do have a search bar within each board and sub-board that might be useful to you. I'm also dyslexic so I do understand; I'll keep an open mind on the possibility of sub-boards, but am still probably going to try avoiding going in that direction if possible-- even when not bringing up the idea of labels for them (and avoiding that issue), I still also need to be considerate about management of the forum itself to try and not stretch our staff team or myself too thin.

Yeah, the dark theme probably needs to be fixed up a bit to match the current theme (in addition to the smilies I still need to add to it, woof). I'll be wrangling the code to try and even out the issues hopefully sometime in the next two weeks, possibly improve main-theme functionality/look as well; I have a laundry list of things I'd like to add to the forum and that's all on there.
Sorry for the delay all y'all; I'm currently on vacation with Chimeras until the 19th, so major updates and tweaks are postponed until at least then. Thanks for your patience.
The Dark+ theme should (hopefully) work on both mobile and computers without any issues now! The text is no longer bold by default, has had its font size raised to match that of the VVV default theme, and both have had their forum wrappers standardized to match. Smilies should also now be transferred over, and be able to be used on Dark+!
I'm still having some small issues where the code is making user profile text font far too big, but am working to figure that out.
