Inspired by the "what are you reading" and "what are you listening to" threads. Anything you're playing currently? Trying to finish a video game, running a D&D campaign, something like that?
I'm currently making my way through Starbound. It's not as mechanically sound or creative as Terraria (and telling that every review of the game mentions Terraria) but the world is so much more whimsical and fun to explore and the plot doesn't require deep lore dives to follow like its sister game does. I'm also getting together a sort-of-homebrew D&D oneshot session for some friends. I've never DMed before so it'll be interesting to see how I do.

Far Cry 5 was on a huge sale recently, and a friend of mine bought a copy for each of us to play co-op together, which was a blast! (literally, as I eagerly blew up every explosive barrel I saw) We completed the story on their save, and now I'm playing solo on my own save and hope to beat every mission in the game at some point. The same friend also bought me Terraria so we could play that together, which is fun, if overwhelming to a new player who's never even watched a proper let's play of it before. Our love language really is playing video games together XD
I'm also, inexplicably, getting back into ARK: Survival Evolved recently. It was one of my biggest hyperfixations I've ever had, and I have countless memories and feelings, positive and negative, attached to it. It's very nostalgic to play it again, even if it's frankly not a very good game.
EDIT: Also, good luck on your D&D session! Tell us how it goes :D

I just got my hands on Subnautica: Below Zero and it's been very fun so far! For the about half hour I played before I chickened out because the game is terrifying and unlike its predecessor, I'm playing it blind.

STAAAAAARBOUUUUUUND. My college best friend bought it for me a couple of weeks ago, and it's already a huge comfort media thing for me. Getting to wander around as a sentient star blob and explore is honestly kind of idyllic for me.
I've finished playing Everhood and am going through New Game+ for any additional content. The game is amazing, I'm in love with the characters. Unfortunately I really cannot recommend it to anyone who is sensitive to flashing lights, but otherwise it's great.
Mentioned it briefly in some other threads but I'm slowly making my way through Monster Hunter Rise. It's pretty much all I've been playing the last month and a bit haha. I only just got up to the Hub quests but I'm having a blast.
I'm also supposed to be reading Higurashi and the rest of the When They Cry series, as well as finish off my Nuzlocke runs in Pokémon but...Monster Hunter......

I'm mainly playing a romhack of pokemon fire red called Rocket Red Edition. You play as a team rocket member and they've changed some of the plot points n stuff. I'm like 15 hours in xD

I've been replaying Dragon's Dogma for the millionth time. It's one of my favourite games, but I've never made it to the end of Bitterblack Isle, so that's my goal for this playthrough.
I've also been revisiting the Ace Attorney games on my 3DS, and slowly making my way through Darkest Dungeon (I'm doing two separate playthroughs on two different systems haha)
So I built a machine / A human machine / I made it with steel / And soy-protein / Born from a test tube / And into a vat / To live and to heave / And to die just like that
I started playing Silent Hill for the first time the other day, but haven't had the chance to get back to it since I've been wrapped up with apartment hunting and whatnot! I recently also finished NieR Replicant (which destroyed me) and I have been pretty antsy to replay Automata because of that, but again, I've been busy.....also, everyone playing Resident Evil Village has got me wanting to play the RE2 Remake and get back to my playthrough of RE4. Tank controls, my detested.

Wahhhhhhh I love Higurashi and the When They Cry series (Umineko specifically is the love of my life). I hope you enjoy them! Where are you at in Higurashi?
I've been playing a lot of Pokemon snap. The Naturalist vibe of just...seeing pokemon as anmimals in their natural envvironment, having things like predation and territory fights and parents protecting their young/kids...it's everything I want out of a game. My one frsutration is that the requests seem really finnicky and arbitrary, where it seems like I can get the exact requested shot and it doesn't count for some reason.
My partner and I have been playing through all the Zelda games, and we're currently rounding out our Child timeline playthrough with Breath of the Wild. This is our second time playing it, so we're enjoying taking a more lax approach while trying to complete more parts of the game, like maybe 100% the shrines for example. (I'm still so torn about wanting to 100% the korok seeds - why are there 900 of them T.T)
Our original goal was to finish BotW by next weekend (5/29) because we're doing an at-home, just the two of us anime convention that weekend (because it's a crime that I haven't been to a con in over a year) and we're planning on watching a bunch of Zelda lore videos as part of our "panels," but there's no way we're gonna finish it by then lol. Oh well, I'd rather take my time and savor the experience. It's such a good game, definitely still one of my all-time favorite video games.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm excited for it!! We went to great lengths to make it simulate the authentic con experience as much as possible in terms of activities, scheduling, and buying things to then open during the con weekend as if we'd gotten them at the dealer's hall/artist alley.
