I follow and observe Paganism, so Magick is an everyday part of my life. On top of that, I have felt otherworldly throughout my life, as though I'm here but also pushing through the veil, so to speak. Oftentimes, I feel spectral, ethereal, not quite solid on this plane of existence but definitely Earthbound in this universe. And so I became Magickalspectre, or Magick for short. Cheers!
Well, my username is simply "krogan", and it's because I'm a krogan and I wanted the canon username clout. I thought about using chiropterra instead (which is a username I use often, alongside my main username, Noivurn), and may change to it in the future. It's an (intentional) misspelling of "chiroptera," which is the scientific name for bats.

{Silver}: Our username is 'monsterqueers', which has been our un on tumblr for awhile. That was chosen because being a furry/teratophile and having that be a large portion of why I ID as queer over bi kind of makes me want to call my sexuality just 'teratophile'. This makes some of the tumblr crowd very upsetti spagetti and thus its a potshot at them but also a very real and meaningful expression. Also we all dont ID as human and identify with monsters as a concept strongly (though we wouldnt say its a otherlink or -hearted thing really) thus it became a thing that stuck. The uN sounds nice so we kept it.
Our display name is The Dragonheart Collective because thats our system name

i enjoy the liminal space aes and our partner suggested the user "false reality" and so we sorted smashed em together and its become our main username now lol
the Korean-style Sam-Taegeuk [three-part Grand Ultimate] Symbol, used in Korean Shamanism, Neo-Confucianism, Daoism and Buddhism
Blue = Heaven, Red = Earth, Yellow = Humanity Heaven influences Earth, which influences Humanity, which influences Heaven...
or, in other interpretations, Blue = Heaven, Yellow = Earth, and Red = Humanity (depending whether Red is seen as the color of Chinese farming-soil or of human blood, and Yellow is seen as the color of soil or of human skin; the Chinese Emperor wore yellow robes in representing Humanity as the "Son of Heaven".)
It doesn't seem to matter which color is where.
The Korean Sam-Taegeuk symbol above is related to but quite different from the better-known Chinese Yin-Yang 陰陽 yīnyáng 阴阳 symbol, also called the Taijitu 太極圖 Taìjí tú 太极图 or T'ai-chi, literally "Diagram of the Supreme Ultimate", most frequently used in Chinese Taoist and Neo-Confucian philosophy and cultural arts.
Our name came long after we formed, and we noticed how neatly all the symbolism worked, so we went with it. We're more connected to our Korean heritage than our Irish one, so it felt appropriate to honor it.
I typically use different names on almost every 'kin forum since while I'm still feeling out the community and seeing if I'll fit there I don't want to be automatically recognized from another place. Plus, I'm awful at coming up with catchy names I actually want to stick with. But at one point I came up with "whiskerprogram" to describe my being a cat and an AI program; at the time, the experience was mixing together something fierce and I felt it described what I was well. I feel like it's the most catchy we're going to get, so I've started using it more now. Might become our "brand", since it's also the name of our personal site. Whisker itself is just a shortening of that to act as a name I can be called, since alongside my username changing I also often don't reveal my actual name on sites, and Whisker is a nice name in my feline opinion.
Minnaloushe creeps through the grass Alone, important and wise, And lifts to the changing moon His changing eyes.
my username is just "corvidae" but with an s at the end! crows are a part of the corvidae family and considering they're such an old kintype for me it just feels right to have something related to them in a username.
Wolf. I like tails. It's sort of an unintentional Skyrim reference.
farkas – wolf [Literally: taily; with tail]
farok ("tail") + -as ("having"), originally used as an adjective in farkas állat (the animal with a tail) = Farkas
I did not know that Farkas means "with tail" and I absolutely love it. What a good name (I also like tails a lot, awoooo!!)
ripley's believe it or not made me who i am today ------ oh no a full moon!!! get away before i transform into a horrible monster that just wants treats and tummy rubs!!!
My username is literally 'astro' but ends with a so it is 'astra'. I think there is a difference between astro and astra but I do not really care. I love astronomy but astra sounded better.
I've gone by a couple of usernames over the past few years, so I'll just explain them all in one go.
I started out on Amino by the user of Miller, as that was directly inspired by George Miller, who's stage name is Joji. I dropped that user after about a year or so of being on Amino - got bored of it really.
Next was the one I'm most recognized by, that being BAD! (or alternatively spelled Bad). I got this one from an XXXTENTACION song quite literally called BAD!, as at the time my mental health was in a raging dumpster fire and that song in particular spoke to me during a rather uneventful class of World History. I went by it for another year or so, favoring the sort of edge it held and how easy it was to remember. I technically dropped it as not a lot of sites really like having the "!" character used in someone's username and because of the ties it held to Amino at that point in time. I carry the laser engraved dog tag of it with me everywhere I go, as it hangs on my car keys as a sort of sentimental thing. I relate it to being in the community, as well as the obstacles I've crossed, and can't bring myself to ditch it.
The current one I go by now is criticalmoisture, or Critical for short. It came to me out of just about thin air and I think it holds a sort of funny rhyme to it. I do like Bad better in all honesty since its both shorter, easier to remember and a lot of people know me by it, but having a sort of fresh start from Amino feels very freeing and comfortable if I'm being honest. I'm not opposed to being called Bad or Critical, I just worry if people see me in a bad (no pun intended) way due to how I've floated around in the community in the past, though I digress. Irrational fears I suppose.
