Heyo,
My parents are selling my childhood home and so the last items that belong to me I took to my new place and am currently sorting through. It’s been an emotional task, and it inspired me to ask what toys you guys had when you were young? Even if you’re still young (teen), chances are you don’t really play with the toys you had as a kid like you used to, so you can still answer this.
For me, it’s Breyer horses. I had other toys too, but I was obsessed with horses as a kid and my parents indulged that, which led to horseback riding lessons, as well as horse toys. Breyer horses aren’t reeeeally toys, in that they’re created as collectors items, but I used em as toys. Love the crap out of em too, which makes deciding which ones to keep and which ones I’m giving away that much harder.

Growing up, our most desired toys where any realistic hard plastic animal figurines. Breyer horses just being one of many. The more lifelike the better for us. We had so many different animal figures of many different species. We hated dolls or other humanoid toys, weren't super interested in building toys, and so on. We played with them like we were reenacting some animal documentary most of the time (we watched a lot of nature documentaries as a kid.)A lot of our toys we had to give away but a few we will have and treasure.
These are the only toys we have left from our childhood:
This is the oldest toy. He's purple-pink around his faded stripes because while still a kid we too a pin to his stripes when they started to fade. Then the ink faded and dissipated with time too.
Fun fact, but all of these toys relate to a headmate in our system. Levi is connected to the plesiosaurus, Dante is connected to the black labrador, the (painted) cheetah is Miushra, the orca is Frith, and the white tiger is a missing headmate we haven't seen since our teenage years before we had our bad denial phase. A lot of other toys were connected with other headmates we used to have but these are the only toys we managed to be able to keep.
My absolute favorites were stuffed animals. I’m old enough to have been really into Beanie Babies (not for collecting, just as toys), but I had a pretty broad variety of stuffed animals, all with names, personalities, and relationships.
They’re some of the only things I have that I’m too sentimental about to get rid of.
I still really love stuffed animals, honestly.
We also had some really old fashioned toys like plain wooden blocks that I really enjoyed. I’d for sure still goof around with blocks if I had some. And of course we had plastic toys too - lots of kaiju (I grew up on the old Japanese Godzilla films), mutant turtles, dinosaurs (some of the old Jurassic Park toys are COOL AS HELL), stuff like that.
I had a real fondness for robots and remote-control toys too. Loved Furby, never found them creepy. And digital pets were great! I still start up a Tamagotchi now and then - but I only had the off-brand ones as a kid, and they never worked as well. I had one known as a “Dinkie Dino” that I looked up as an adult and learned was notoriously punishing to play. Your little dinosaur dudes really like to just drop dead.
Edit: I’m hardcore dating myself here mentioning Beanie Babies, Tamagotchi, and Furby in the same dang post, haha.
If that's your collection, nice! Also, you have the original Spirit and Rain models!
Anyway. My favorite childhood toys consisted of the little solid Pokemon figures that came with the pogs, plastic dinosaurs, and a variety of horse toys which, oddly enough, didn't include Breyers. No stores sold them in my area.

I don't have a picture because they're mixed in with our current toys, but we had a few!
Our oldest toy was a raccoon beanie baby, I want to say it's Bandito, that we named Panda. we also had Snips the cat, Jet the blue jay, and Strut the rooster (though we didn't call him that, we didn't really have a name for him I don't think?).
We also had animal toys, and I mostly remember the deer! There's a picture of us playing with our deer in a dollhouse we got for Christmas that our mom really likes. We also had a Rudolph finger puppet we carried around. I don't think we have the deer and I don't know what happened to them, but Rudolph is with our mom.
Then we also had a Pokemon toys! I can't really remember which ones we had as a kid vs getting when we were older since we have a lot of them though.
We also had this weird game with our friend when we were kids where we'd play with sticks and pretend like they were animals? I think they're probably worth noting since even though they're no longer around we thought of our stick collection like toys XD
No longer using this account, still up for archive. Sorry if posts were awkwardly worded!

My sister and I had just tubs and tubs of Legos and we would play these fantasy and adventure and action stories, like a Matrix-type one, or people in the wild west, or finding a hidden valley full of dinosaurs. Wed let our imaginations go wild
I also collected some things called "Jojo's Crazy Bones" which were little plastic figurines in the shape of weird creatures or lil dudes, and the game was you'd throw them and the ways they landed were worth different amounts of points? Also it was kind of inspired by casting bones for scrying purposes tbh
ripley's believe it or not made me who i am today ------ oh no a full moon!!! get away before i transform into a horrible monster that just wants treats and tummy rubs!!!

OH LAWD I remember those little plastic lumps. They were this wonderfully hard smooth plastic that made the most perfect ASMR-level clacks when you smacked them together.
I never actually played with them, but I got a few in some Happy Meals or something and just rattling a couple in my hand was so satisfying.
Oh!! I don't currently have photos but I had a LOT of toys growing up, but some of my favorites?
The one I've had the longest is a blue stuffed dog I named Blue. I was 4, do not question my creativity XD I actually still have her today. I don't currently have photos though, but if I take some I'll make sure to attach them in an edit.
I have a bunch of other plushies, but one that stands out that I grew very fond of in my teenage years is a Knuckles the Echidna plush.
And of course, I have a Roboraptor I'm incredibly fond of. I just put new batteries in her, muhuhu
But regarding toys I currently do not have but love, I grew up with a lot of horse figures, my little ponies, a Penelope toy (the purple dragon from the Barbie Rapunzel movie), and a BK Charmander toy.

They're not really toys, but I had (and still have!) two stuffed bears that were given to me since before I can remember. My mom says they're beanie babies but they still have most of their original textures and it doesn't feel like beanie baby texture
They're really old, both of them are missing their original insides (one of them we filled with stuffing, but the other we didn't for some reason. Also they were originally filled with small plastic beads if any1 was wondering) and one of them is missing their pink string that went around their neck.
I named them Bob and Larry, after the vegetables and I have problems sleeping without them
Other than those, idk what toys I had that we still have, since I gave them to my siblings, who have a talent for losing things ಠ_ಠ though it doesn't matter much since I can't remember any of them anyways
I'm speaking in an accent that is beyond Her range of hearing!

for us it was those little plastic dinosaurs. i don’t know how many we had but it was a lot. we had like. a whole giant tub full. we didn’t even play with them either- we just kinda organized them by species and color for like 2 hours then put them away. sadly we got rid of them when our family moved a few years ago.

My love for toys never really faded and I’ve progressed to being a toy collector in my adulthood. I think my most dedicated collections are My Little Pony [focus on early G4 and G1] and Webkinz- which I still play on the exact same account I had when I was 9 years old [tigercat51 if anyone still plays!]. The same level of dedication is true of my chickensmoothie account, which you can locate here
I haven’t sorted my pets in a few months but I probably have the time later today
I had a few Pikachu plushies growing up as well as dolls (which I absolutely fear dolls), virtual pet tomagotchis and plastic animals. But my favorite toy was a small dog I named Jones which I took to the zoo and lost

my oldest toy was given to me as a newborn, a toycat stuffed rabbit called bunny. he is in pretty good shape for his age, with only one of the strings that made the borders between his toes coming off but still attached to the foot.
