I explore a lot of nonhumanity through RP, and I know I'm not the only one! So I thought it would be useful to start a thread where people could organize rpg games, scope out interest, and otherwise find others to play with. My suggested format for clarity is to include the following information:
System: What system or setup does the rp use (e.g. D&D, Powered by the Apocalypse, Play-by-post)?
Players: How many players? Is someone a game master/dungeon master/storyteller or is it GM-less?
Format: How will this be run? (E.g. Discord, forum, in person, etc.)
Time: Is this a one shot or multiple games? How long will the game or individual sessions take? How often?
Basic info: A short description of the game (intended tone, etc.)
Interest: Are you willing to run/lead this, only play of someone else leads, both, etc?
Without further ado:
Fiasco (Various/Multiple)
System: Fiasco
Players: 3-5, GMless
Format: There is an online way to play Fiasco (though I have not yet tried to use it). Discord should also suffice.
Time: Oneshot, 1-3 Hours
Basic info: There are a billion Fiasco playsets and I am not locked in to just those listed here. Note that, given the nature of Fiasco as a game, even the playsets that sound normal can get very weird. I played You Are A Cat once and was an alien. Ones that might be particularly appealing to nonhumans include:
Class Reanimation: College reunion for monsters
You are a cat: What it sounds like, a group of people playing literal cats.
Nights of Our Lives: Urban fantasy, soap-opera drama with ghouls, werewolves, vampires, etc.
Interest: Willing to run/explain play. Willing to play multiple games if there is diverging interest.
I Only Kiss Werewolves
System: six-sided dice, similar to Lasers and Feelings
Players: 2 (1 player and 1 GM)
Format: Discord, Roll20, In-person all possible
Time: Oneshot, 3-5 scenes (estimate 1+ hours)
Basic info: You play as a werecreature who has just moved to the city from a small town and is trying to find a place in the thrope community. Thropes have only very recently been granted full legal rights equal to those of everyone else and there is a lot of uncertainty as to how society will react. Being a queer thrope just makes it even harder to find a place in two different communities. The game takes place over the course of the player's first few months in the city, as they learn, explore, and settle in.
Interest: Would play either role.
Freeform RP (various/multiple)
System: Play-by-post
Players: 2 (1x1) preferred but more possible
Format: RPNation, Discord, any text-based messaging service
Time: Variable as agreed
Basic info: The most generic and flexible. Just two (or more) people agreeing on a premise, setting, story idea and seeing where it takes them. I do a lot of play by post rp's and would love to start some with forum members. The sky is the limit on details.
Interest: Player, GM status does not apply.
Willing to play but not run: Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Fate, (basically anything, tbh. I am rp georg in terms of constantly up for more rp).
