I’m thinking of hosting a panel next year. Got inspired by the fact that I struggle to relate to a lot of the subjects in the panels and realized that a big part of that is because of how my Therianthropic experiences have changed over time. Next year is my 10th year with Therianthropy too, so I might have a few other people be on the panel with me who have also been experiencing alterhumanity for 10+ years (ideally differently from me) to talk about how theirs has changed over time, so we can discuss how things may change and what to expect.
Seems like somethings that could be valuable, especially since most of what gets talked about is your current experiences (which makes sense), and taking a look at how your nonhuman/alterhuman experiences will change as you age is of interest to me, as someone who has a human/jaguar identity but has his human self running the show like 95% of the time.

I would possibly be interested in helping out with this too! A lot of the panels now do seem to be focused on current experiences as opposed to how experiences have changed overtime (from what you said) as well as how to deal with current experiences, IMO. I think what'd be really interesting for sure is to hear how someone's experiences have changed with time, or how they might've come to terms with their experiences not following the standard format of phantom, mental, so on and so on.

I definitely think this is a good idea, I think it’s important discussion to be had and I look forward to the panel if you do do it!!!
ripley's believe it or not made me who i am today ------ oh no a full moon!!! get away before i transform into a horrible monster that just wants treats and tummy rubs!!!
I had such a good time at OtherCon! Overall phenomenal panels and such a special space to be so immersed in nonhuman culture/experiences. I'm excited for all the panel ideas folks have already been tossing around!
I also have a couple panel ideas I'm playing around with, but the one I realized and got most excited about is on my dissertation looking at intersections of nonhuman, trans, and autistic identities/experiences! I was bummed that this year I didn't have any new research stuff to share, but by the time panel submissions open, I should have proposed my dissertation, which means I can easily morph that into a panel to share where my research is at. With any luck, I'll have already done/be doing data collection by the time of next year's OtherCon, and I would love to get to share the rationale of the study and broadly what I'll be doing with the data with y'all.
