I recall this from other forums and searched and there's no thread like this. As this is in a public part of the forum that anyone can see, use common sense & be safe when posting here. Anyway! I'll go first:
I've been loving all the red-tailed hawks I've been seeing & hearing. They're a very comforting presence. I wish I could get pictures of them but they always seem to know when I'm getting my phone out to do so.
Love me some deer/antler imagery, gotta be one of my favorite genders. My phone background at the moment is an art piece in the colors of the trans flag of a deer in a field with antlers sprawling above it formed by negative space of the sky peaking through clouds. Just sparks that perfect balance between strength and demure.
It's funny how I started watching mecha anime for my partner so I could understand what they're talking about and hold a conversation with them about the topic.
Now? I'm 100% watching it for myself. I am obsessed. I finished Fang of the Sun: Dougram (definitely recommend this, it is also very leftist...so much that my partner says leftists would get more out of watching this than reading theory & I'm inclined to agree) last month and finished Armored Trooper VOTOMS more recently.
I loved VOTOMS so much that I put together a thing about some of my favorite mecha in it. Going to watch the OVA and sequels eventually but I want to watch the one-shots with my partner and I want to watch in production order so I'm waiting for them to have the time. For now, I'm moving on to Mobile Suit Gundam (1979). I'm hooked. Only a matter of time before I get some models & have a new hobby.
Gotta get up early tomorrow to go to the farmer's market before I go in to work. They started holding it again this month after closing for the winter season in November. I missed seeing everyone so I am going to have a good time going back! Especially the vietnamese coffee lady that also sells all kinds of eggs and angora yarn.
For some reason, a lot of conversations, books, and videos I've had/read/watched recently have carried the theme of "Life is kind of weird. It's an amalgam of water, acid, and fiber that makes a hobby of turning a planet's crust into nutrient paste."
The schizotix and transpecies flag have similar designs. The former fades from purple to tan to red. The latter fades from purple to black to red. They seem like long lost siblings.
