* HELLO!!! you said to share anything so here i go:
I've been thinking about Theseus' ship alot recently, like the question of " if you steadily replace every part of an object, is it still the original object? " and its baffled me.
I dont see myself as a philosopher of any kind, idek why im even thinking about it, but its a neat thing to think about.
What do you think? I dont really have an opinion on it rn

My personal opinion , it’s not the original object… but a copy, and the original object still exists, although it was once in that very place. And whether the original object is in pieces, or put back together all the pieces still exist and can remake the original. if any of this makes sense at all
Of all the discussions I've heard about the ship of Theseus, I think my favorite take in the specific case of life is to consider organisms as a type of energy/structural wave rather than being the constituent tissues. Basically, I like the continuity take but it's still fun to think about the originality take. (I think it would be fun to take an operating steam locomotive and every time a part needs replacing, you save it up until you get the original parts assembled into a static display while the locomotive at the same time is still running)
In terms of what's on my mind? Bleh, mostly I'm still processing my current position in life. So far I have figured out that I've probably left College too hastily.
My go-to icebreaker convo is always 'Do you have any pets?' because people are more often than not excited to talk about their animals. In my experience it can make people warm up to you very quickly because they are already feeling rather happy to share about their pets and people appreciate that you listen to them talking about an important member of their family. I'll share some about my own pet, my dog Phantom! He is a 6 year old pomsky and he loves to go places. He likes climbing rock faces and trees, he is an ideal hiking partner for me. I have a lot of experience in animal medicine and animal nutrition, so I am comfortable with formulating his diet on my own. He eats a raw diet. It is delightful to watch him eat!
A song I have been enjoying lately is one of the new Hozier releases, Too Sweet. It is quite catchy. A song that I also enjoy is Willard! by Will Wood. It gives off non-human vibes.

* The soul thing makes sense, but that begs the question on if objects have souls.
