Hi all! I wanted to start an otherkin club/ monthly meet up. The only issue being I have no experience and no clue how to manage that! As the leader of the group I just dunno wtf I would do to entertain and manage a group. Like I can talk to people but jeeze just seems intimidating! Any advice would be appreciated
I was president of an otherkin-focused club in college that mainly centered around education and representation, but we did have otherkin members. I know for us we'd hold monthly meetings that would involve things like Q&As, movie nights (Brother Bear and Dragonheart were tow big favorites), board game nights (One Night Ultimate Werewolf was always something we wanted to do, but just Cards Against Humanity was fun too). We also had plans to eventually go camping or otherwise hiking and out on trails that never got off the ground, so that's something to consider too!
What you'll be able to do and how you'll be able to advertise or gain members for an IRL club depends a lot on where you live and what sort of spaces/groups you're locally already a part of; if you're involved with furry meetups, for instance, that's where I'd personally start out checking for interest.
