I recently awakened as dragonkin (realized that a lot of what i was thinking of as seperate kintypes comes together prettt well as a mammalian dragon and id rather see myself as a cohearent whole).
What are some good things to do to connect to this kintype? Im looking for all sorts of reccomendations; video games, food, activities, clothes, decoration, music, things like that. Video games especially. I already know about golden treasure: the great green- playing that is what auctually awakened me! (This time. For years i have been questioning dragon on and off, lol)
Personally I associate dragons with rocks and jewels and shiny things and especially hoarding those things in a cave, so maybe you could dedicate a small space to your room to be your "hoarding" space?
Playlists are always good; since I also kind of see dragons as a sort of 'royal' figure in a sense, maybe you could look on Spotify for "royalcore" playlists and curate a dragon-themed one of your own!

Video Games: Battle of giants: dragons! Old DS game that we like very much, there is a lot of customization for your dragon avatar to be had. Also various httyd games are alright, then we suppose roblox has those WOF servers? Never tried them so we dont know how that works but its there. Spyro lets you play as a dragon, so any and all of the spyro games might help. There used to be a 2d platformer free flash game years ago where if you ate certain things you would change as you grew to different colors, have different elements, but we dont know where it went sorry. For pet games there is always flightrising, as well.
A lot of the other stuff depends on what you personally found your experience to be like. Getting scale armor like things may not be as euphoric for as you as for other dragons, fur clothes may instead give you more euphoria. Shawls and backpacks can help reduce wing dysphoria, or at least they do for me, because the weight of them helps a little. Not all dragons hoard, but some do. Try out a lot of dragonic behaviors and go for what feels right. If hoarding is your jam, try having a box or a closet where you keep a collection of some kind. It doesnt have to be made of riches if you are on a budget- glass and little shiny pebbles you find are just as good for treasure.
Try lots of different experiences, and if something clicks, do it more. Various heavily prepared foods and meats might be 'dragonlike' and euphoric to you, or they might not. Drawing scales on your skin in washable marker might help, or it might not. Collecting jewlery and shiny stones might help, or it might not. Detailing a corner of your room (or your actual bed) like a nest or hoard pile might help, or it might not. Go for runs, or try swimming or biking, maybe it might feel like flying to you, or it might not. Different dragons have different specific things that might be euphoric.

Funnily enough i get really shifty at work bc my uniform is red and i work in a prize corner in an archade and its in a little nook with a lower roof than the rest of the building which makes it feel like a cave and all the prizes feel like my hoard lol
Adult What if I just... decide not to be an adult....?

video games that I can think of... I'm anxiously waiting for draconia to come out 😅 its going to be an MMO RPG like game where you play as a dragon and I'm so hyped (set to come out next year I believe). there's also a dragon model on fer.al (I didn't buy it yet, but its on my list)
music although not necessarily dragon-like, it gets me pretty shifty for some reason, but I love Omnia
food is very specific to me since I was aquatic, but I love sushi and just any seafood in general (I've heard other dragon folk say that either end of the spectrum of red meats -charred or rare meat - helped them. I'm just not a fan of red meat that much 😅 )
as for other stuff, people already mentioned hoards and trinkets. I'm a chronic hoarder so yeah XD I like to focus on small shiny trinkets tho e.e oh, and I also have these dragon-shaped wall stickers with a glow in dark moon, and since my walls are blue, it just looks like a flock of dragon flying in the night sky

Ooh those stickers sound amazing. What is there to do in fer.al? Ive played a couple times but have trouble finding anything interesting to do? Ive found likd, one quest once but it seems mostly empty? Pretty enviornments though. Id love to play more if i could figure iut where the fun is lol. I will look forward to draconia also! Also my bf is a sea dragon and he loves seafood too hehe

honestly, that's about it XD it is very much advertised as a "roleplaying" game, so its meant to be played with people so they can role play as the creatures (pretty sure the quests are like boredom breakers in case you don't have anyone to play with. i like them tho. i think its pretty satisfying to start a task and fully complete it. the story lines can be quite fun to read too)

I’m not sure what the “openness” status of this game is, as I joined the kickstarter pre-release, but Day of Dragons is an open world survival game where you play as a dragon, similar to FeralHeart and other such games. You can walk, run, fly around, toggle first and third person, hunt, form a “pack” or play solo, and, once you grow up, explore the giant world that DOD has to offer (though I would recommend using the community map, lol).
I’m surprised no one’s mentioned it yet, though there was some mud-slinging back before it released. Afaik they’ve proven all of that wrong though. It is still in development, but it’s definitely playable at this point, and pretty fun I might add, once you get past the learning curve for getting your bearings (literally). Very much recommend!
If you're a book person, the Dragonriders of Pern series is fantastic. Dragonology if you can find a copy. I've heard good things about the Breath of Fire series as well, though I haven't gotten around to reading it there's the Reason books, as wells as Salamandria Drake's Dragonsdale books (which are very Horse Girl Book but with dragons)
There's an older show called The Last Dragon from 2004 which is a sort alternate history mockumentary where dragons evolved on earth.
Dragonheart for movies - that one's comfort food for meed.

Oooh i loved dragonology growing up- and i definitely read some sort of horse girl but with dragon books too though im not sure if theh are the same ones. I think i saw the mockumentsry as well- though so long ago i really need to find it again. I will look into these new media, an ty for reminding me of old favorites as well
For games, we've gotten quite a bit of species euphoria playing Monster Hunter Stories 2, and we've heard from reliable sources that someone draconic, or at the very least involved in draconic spaces, was involved in designing the dragon game Golden Treasure: The Great Green.

a really good book series with dragons is the Inheritance Cycle! it shows dragons as intelligent-more intelligent than humans- and shows them in a good light, where they arent scary monsters. And of course, the Wings of Fire series is a wonderful book series as well.
