Do you guys have any plans for this Halloween? We're avoiding big parties and stuff ourselves because of Covid, but our polycule has an Over The Garden Wall and Scary Movie watchparty planned. We might also do a big divination and alter redecoration thing too, to celebrate finally heading into winter-- the temperature is only just starting to dip over here.
It feels weird to see people out and about like there's not still a pandemic going on... and having to sequester ourselves away in a pseudo-quarantine all month long to avoid exposure has sucked a bit of the fun out of October. But we're hoping to have a really awesome Halloween night to make up for it.

We just finished reading 13 Horrors of Halloween, an anthology of spooky/supernatural/dark short stories from various authors (including Isaac Asimov) that focus on Halloween.
Right now we're listening to the novella, Skin Trade by George R.R. Martin and will probably have it done sometime tomorrow, with maybe enough time for another horror/monster-themed read. We might pull out a story we've read before. Maybe listen to one of Jordan L Hawk's stories again.
Tomorrow, we will be working in the evening but it should be a slow night. So probably plenty of time to listen to something while we work. Also wondering about bring our tarot deck to work to see if any coworkers are game for a reading. Not sure on that one. Though before the night ends tomorrow, as per our system's tradition, we watch Disney's Halloween Treat, a special we've watched every Halloween at least once since we were little.
My plan is to stand in my parent's yard and help give out candy to the kids in our neighborhood! And if anyone gets too close I'm throwing my shoes at them :) I was going to go to a small (zer and three of zer school friends) Halloween party, but we're still in hyperactive lockdown, even though our town refuses to believe there's a pandemic. >:(

Litterally my.polycule also had an over the garden wall watch party thztd amazing
Nothing big. Last week my partners and some friends watched Young Frankenstein. This week was Over the Garden Wall and the Clue movie. The horror-comedy movie "Kill Me Now" is left on the list.
This year for Halloween I dressed up as a Plague Doctor. I wore a tag labelled 'Tactical Covid Response' and went around sanitising everyone's hands. It was a lot of fun. I found out that I'm very good at being motionless, so much so that people thought I was a statue. I definitely used that to scare people.
I'm late, but I participated in my apartment complex's Trunk or Treat! I got to wear my new (and very first!) fursuit, Basil, who is a parasaurolophus :) There were THREE other dinosaurs, and we were all different species! (A rex skeleton, a pterosaur(!!), and an itsy bitsy triceratops who was terrified of me, the poor thing.) I got to do my first photos in suit and besides the kids who were scared of me, they really loved me!! I'm so glad I decided to participate >w<
We went to a local brewery and admired all the Halloween costumes and watched a family playing one of those giant Jenga games. The line for food was sandworm-length, so we went down the street to our favorite burger place…
And then ended up going BACK to the brewery and playing some Godzilla pinball… among others. I couldn’t convince my best friend to dress up this year - he’s tall and has a really good Imperial Officer uniform, but he doesn’t think it works with his current look.
But my spouse and I dressed up as a sled dog and musher, so I got to wear the new custom fangs I got this year… and an actual dog harness I grabbed. I decided I needed to lean harder into the dog look, because even with a grey and white curly tail, a husky-pattern hood, and a collar, I got called a SQUIRREL when I wore this getup before??
I did overhear “werewolf” as someone looked at me this year, but that’s a totally fine error.
I also made my companions watch the creepy old Grinch Halloween cartoon with its trippy dreamlike sequences and oppressive weirdness.
Adult What if I just... decide not to be an adult....?

i went trick or treating at my SO's neighborhood after not trick or treating for 3 years :,) it was so nice to finally do that again (no, you are never too old to trick or treat XD )
Dinic: We just had a massive celebration in the headspace. We use Samhain to reconnect with parts of the headspace and celebrate the metaphysical parts so there was a mix of inviting as many walk-ins and soulbonds as we could and hosting them and solidifying the gates while we did that. With Samhain us frontrunners also talked about and honored dead family members.
For the Halloween end we ended up dressing up and going trick or treating! Which was fun, we dressed up as an alien. A lot of us also dressed up in the headspace and I ended up going as a pumpkin ghost! I ended up running around a lot in the headspace because I love Halloween and I have a sort of role in the headspace which involves working with the gates.

Halloween has ended, but next year I think I'll be with my father and step mother, my step mother will probably get me a cosplay of my fictoype since she knows and supports me. My ginger hair would go perfect with it all.
Ahoy everyone. I go by Foxy. I'm a horror based fictionkin, part conceptkin and C'linker.
